The Forest City Community School Board recently approved an agreement on the John V. Hanson Career Center. The center provides hands-on job skills training in cooperation with other schools such as Lake Mills, North Iowa, and Garner Hayfield Ventura Community School Districts. Forest City Community Schools Superintendent Darwin Lehmann explained.
Programs such as Advanced Manufacturing, Construction Trades, Information Technology, and Health Careers. Students earn college credit by enrolling in NIACC classes at the Career Center. This comes at no cost to the student or their parents. Textbooks, tools, and equipment are also provided to the students.
