Joice Council Encourages Vote on Ambulance Ballot Question

The City of Joice is actively asking its residents to consider a measure that will aid in making emergency services such as ambulance services more readily available. Joice Mayor Becky Martinson has spoken with a number of residents to get a feel for the idea.

She along with others in the city are very concerned about the availability of the ambulatory services.

Martinson explained that the city needs the coverage but hasn’t had issues getting responses so far.

She explained that the city will serve a crucial role in the vote on taxation for ambulatory services. Joice will serve as a polling place for three townships. She went on to explain how the measure aids residents in the county.

City residents in the county will be the most affected according to Martinson.

Winnebago County set the precedent locally for taxation action like the one being proposed in Worth County. Residents in Winnebago County passed the measure to try and increase personnel in both the Lake Mills and Buffalo Center Ambulatory Services while improving coverage throughout the county.
