The Garner City Council is looking to purchase new equipment for their Police Department. City administrator Jim Collins explained that this equipment replaces older equipment.
Police Chief Tim Dodge explained that his department has been planning on this for some time.
The purchases are out of necessity because of several unavoidable circumstances.
Axon bought out the company used by the police department, but Dodge believes that the equipment is some of the best.
The council approved the purchase of the new equipment.
