New Iowa Poll shows Trump’s lead shrinking

DES MOINES — A new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows Donald Trump’s lead in the state of Iowa has been shrinking.
The new poll released over the weekend shows Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 47% to 43% among likely Iowa voters. Back in June prior to President Joe Biden ending his bid for re-election, Trump held a 50% to 32% lead.
The new poll shows the majority of Iowa men, 59%, would vote for Trump in November while a majority of Iowa women, 53%, would vote for Harris.
The Iowa Poll is conducted by Selzer & Company and surveyed 811 Iowans from September 8th through the 11th. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8% for questions asked of 656 likely voters and 3.4% for those asked of Iowa adults.
