Lake Mills boys, Forest City boys top new cross country team rankings

DES MOINES — In the new cross country team rankings released by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches on Tuesday:

== Lake Mills is ranked #1 in the Class 1A boys rankings, followed by Earlham and Ogden in the top three. North Butler is ranked #17

== In Class 1A on the girls side, Earlham is the top team, with no local teams in the rankings

== Forest City is the top-ranked team in the Class 2A boys rankings, followed by Spirit Lake and Denver. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura is ranked #14

== In the Class 2A girls rankings, Forest City is ranked fifth and Osage is ranked 20th, with Van Meter being the top ranked squad. 

== In the Class 3A boys rankings, Charles City is ranked 20th, with Gilbert being the top-ranked team. 

== in the 3A girls rankings, Clear Lake is 18th, with Pella being the top team

== In Class 4A, Dowling of West Des Moines is the top ranked boys team while Pleasant Valley is ranked as the top girls team.
