MASON CITY — It’s a deferred judgment and probation for a Mason City man who pleaded guilty to a methamphetamine-related charge.

s part of a plea agreement filed in July, Espinosa agreed to plead guilty to possession with the intent to deliver meth, a Class C felony. In exchange, prosecutors recommended a ten year suspended prison sentence as well as three years probation.
During a sentencing hearing earlier this week, District Judge DeDra Schroeder issued a deferred judgment and placed Espinosa on three years probation and issued a civil penalty of $1370, which was suspended.
