Jacie Mae Weaver, 25, Rockwell

Jacie Mae Weaver, a one-of-a-kind spirit who brought light and laughter to everyone around her, passed
away on September 24, 2024, at the young age of 25. Born December 17, 1998, at Mercy Medical
Center in Mason City, Iowa, Jacie was a gift to her parents, Jeff and Shawn (Battleson) Weaver, and an
especially welcome joy to her older brother Jacob, who was 6 ½ years her senior. From the start, Jacie
and Jacob shared an unbreakable bond, with Jacie often his shadow throughout childhood—a closeness
that remained a cornerstone of her life.

As a child, Jacie’s love for Care Bears, especially Sleepy Bear, reflected her gentle, whimsical nature. She
was always active and involved, participating in Girl Scouts and T-ball during her younger years. As she
grew, Jacie participated in volleyball and soccer during middle school, while playing both the flute and
piano. She had a love of music that carried on throughout her life, serving as her escape from the world.
Her favorite color is purple, and like the color itself, Jacie was vibrant, comforting, and full of depth.

Jacie graduated from West Fork High School in 2017, proud of her accomplishments and the friendships
she nurtured there. Following her high school graduation, she earned her AA degree from North Iowa
Area Community College (NIACC), continuing to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.

A lifelong gamer, Jacie found joy in playing Runescape, The Sims, Grand Theft Auto, Animal Crossing, and
Mario Kart, where she was always quick to claim Yoshi before her brother could. She formed deep
connections and lasting friendships in the gaming community, her warmth and wit transcending the
screen. Jacie was also known for her unique and creative Snapchats, sending quirky, funny, and original
messages that perfectly captured her playful and one-of-a-kind personality.

Jacie’s heart was especially full when it came to animals, and her deep love for them was clear in her
lifelong connection with pets. She had a particular affection for cats and shared a special bond with her
beloved cat of 15 years, Cheese, who passed away last summer. Cheese was more than a pet—she was
a companion and a source of comfort for Jacie. Following his passing, she continued to find joy and love
with, Debbie and Juni, who were her constant companions. Jacie’s love for animals was undeniable, and
she extended her care and affection to every creature she encountered.

Jacie had a magnetic, aloof character that drew people to her. She was both deeply kind and positive,
never speaking a bad word about anyone. She was unapologetically herself, living in her own world, and
that world was full of joy, humor, and sunshine. There was no one quite like Jacie—her unique charm
and off-the-wall sense of humor could light up any room and leave her friends and coworkers with a
laugh or smile.

She worked as a manager at Orange Leaf in Mason City before transitioning to Auto Plus, and was most
recently employed at Diamond Vogel Paint, where her coworkers appreciated her quick wit and offbeat
comments. Jacie had a talent for surprising people with her humor, making the ordinary days brighter
for those around her.

Halloween was Jacie’s favorite holiday, and she had a true love for the spooky season’s creativity and
fun. Her life was enriched by music, which provided solace and escape. Every night at 5 p.m., Jacie
would call her mom, just to chat—a daily ritual that will be deeply missed.

Jacie’s family was her world, and she adored her two nephews, Keaton and Kaisen, who brought her
endless joy and laughter. Her four closest friends—Jessi from childhood, Caylee from high school,

Hannah from Orange Leaf, and her very best friend Cloey—were her companions in life, standing by her
through all her adventures and laughter-filled days.

Jacie’s life, though cut short, was filled with love, laughter, and her own brand of magic that will never
be forgotten. She had a heart that touched everyone she met and left a lasting impression of joy,
warmth, and unshakable kindness. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Jacie is survived by her brother Jacob (McKenna) Weaver, her two beloved
nephews Keaton and Kaisen; grandparents, Michael Weaver, Mary Casper and Patty Battleson; aunts
and uncles, Angela (Jeff) Dooley, Jay Weaver, and Joe (Kendall) Battleson; as well as her cousins, great
aunts and uncles and many close friends who became like family. Though she is no longer with us,
Jacie’s light, her love, and her laughter will forever live in our hearts.

Jacie is joined in Heaven by her grandparents, Eileen Weaver, Lyle J. Battleson, and Wayne Casper;
uncle, Matt Battleson; great grandmothers, Eleanor Uthoff, Viola Sheehy, and Helen Weaver; and her
beloved cat of 15 years, Cheese.

A celebration of Jacie’s life will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at
Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3 rd St. NE, Mason City, where family and friends will gather to
honor her remarkable spirit.

In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, memorials may be left in Jacie’s honor in care of
her family.

Jacie Mae Weaver—there was, and will never be, anyone quite like you.
