Rockwell woman among two dead in fatal crash in southern Minnesota

AUSTIN — A Rockwell woman is among two people dead after a two-vehicle accident in Mower County Minnesota on Tuesday.

The Minnesota State Patrol say 25-year-old Jacie Mae Weaver was driving a van north on US Highway 218 on Tuesday morning shortly after 10:45 AM when she collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Whin Gay of Austin at the intersection of 140th  Street in between Lyle and Austin.

The State Patrol says both died as a result of the accident. Gay was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
