MASON CITY — A Charles City woman has won a $250,000 prize from the Iowa Lottery.
39-year-old Linsey Koenigs will split the prize from the Lucky 7 Bonus game with two family members. Iowa Lottery officials say that Koenigs’ father-in-law purchased the winning ticket at the Kum & Go at 818 Highway 105 in Northwood, with the Koenigs claiming the prize on Tuesday at the lottery’s Mason City office.
Koenigs says her share of the winnings will help pay for expenses in opening her new business, Beard & Beauty Bar, on October 1st in Charles City.
The Lucky 7 Bonus game is a $20 scratch ticket that features 20 top prizes of $250,000 as well as 76 prizes of $10,000.
