Cross Country recap for Thursday, September 26th— Panther Invitational results, Clear Lake at Roland-Story

MANLY — The Forest City girls and Lake Mills boys won the Panther Invitational cross country meet hosted by Central Springs at the Pioneer Town and Country Club in Manly. Forest City won the girls title with 47 points, well ahead of Waukon’s second place showing of 87 points. Kadence Huck of Nashua-Plainfield won the girls race in a time of 19:47. Lake Mills edged Forest City 32-37 for the boys team title, with Newman finishing a distant third with 109 points. Gavin Grunhovd of North Iowa won the boys race in a time of 16:06. Three Lake Mills runners took the next three places, with Hayden Thompson finishing second 50 seconds behind. You can see the full results by clicking here

 

STORY CITY — The Clear Lake girls finished fourth while the Lion boys finished fifth at the Roland-Story cross country invitational on Thursday. The Lions girls finished with 93 points, with North Polk being the champion with 57 points. Addison Doughan had the best Clear Lake finish, placing fifth in a time of 19:48. The Clear Lake boys finished with 133 points, with Bondurant-Farrar winning the boys title with 54 points. Gavin Roske had the best Lions time, finishing seventh in a time of 17:23.
