LAKE MILLS — NIACC freshman Meghan DeLong has added another individual title to her resume. The freshman from Clear Lake shot a 73 to take the medalist honors at the Waldorf University Challenge at Rice Lake Golf Course on Monday. The win came one day after she won the Waldorf University Fall Invitational in Albert Lea. NIACC placed third in the team standings with a 347. Simpson College won the tournament with a 332, with host Waldorf finishing second with a 335.
== On the men’s side of the tournament, NIACC sophomore Bennett Berger tied for second with a round of 70. Grand View University’s Harrison Frohling was the medalist with a 68. NIACC placed third as a team with a total of 302. Grand View University and Waldorf tied for first with scores of 293, but the Vikings took home the trophy as they claimed the strength of the fifth individual score.
Both NIACC teams travel to Dike on Friday for the Hawkeye Community College Redtail Fall Classic.
