“Remember My Name” domestic violence awareness event Friday in Mason City

MASON CITY — The annual “Remember My Name” event as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month will be held on Friday in Mason City.
Cerro Gordo County Chief Deputy David Hepperly says the event honors Iowans who have lost their lives as a result of domestic violence. The event is sponsored by the North Iowa Domestic & Sexual Abuse Community Coalition. “It’s a very large coalition of community partners that all collaborate and we address domestic violence and sexual abuse in our communities. We are having our annual ‘Remember My Name’ event this Friday October 4th at noon at the Mason City Room of the Mason City Public Library. We’ll have the presentation. ‘Remember My Name’ is honoring victims who have lost their lives due to domestic violence in Iowa.”
A free lunch will be provided starting at noon followed by a program starting at 12:10 PM.
