NIACC’s DeLong for third straight week is conference golfer of the week

MASON CITY — NIACC freshman Meghan DeLong is once again the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference’s golfer of the week.

It’s the third straight week that the Clear Lake alum has captured the award. She was recognized after winning a pair of tournaments last week, winning the Waldorf University Challenge with a round of 73 and the Hawkeye Community College Redtail Classic with a career-best 71. That round of 71 was the lowest total since 2006 for a Trojan golfer.

DeLong has won five out of the seven tournaments she’s played in this fall.
