Rockford FFA Gives Back by Giving Meals to Farmers

Some 50 farmers in the Rockford area enjoyed free meals last Friday (10.11).

The Rockford FFA is provided harvest meals to the farmers including a prime rib sandwich, cheese potatoes, fruit and water, according to Chapter treasurer Wyatt Parcher.

While Parcher was involved in his first harvest meal distribution, it was not the “first rodeo” for Chapter sentinel Dillon Borchardt.

Borchardt, a four-year Rockford FFA member, says farmers who receive the free meals are selected through a nomination process.

Parcher, in his third year with FFA, encourages students to join their group.

The free harvest meals for the farmers were prepared by the Rockford FFA members.
