DeLong medals for sixth time, NIACC women’s golf team second at Grand View Invitational

ANKENY — Clear Lake freshman Meghan DeLong took the medalist honors while NIACC finished second as a team at the Grand View University Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny.

DeLong shot a two-day total of 146 to win the tournament, the sixth time she’s earned medalist honors in eight events this fall. Paige Danger tied for 12th with a 174 for the runner-up Trojans, who shot a 680, 54 shots behind champion Grand View.

The event was the final one for the NIACC women’s golf team in the fall season.
