Mason City woman given suspended sentence on meth dealing charge

MASON CITY — A Mason City woman accused of dealing methamphetamine has been given a suspended sentence.
39-year-old Annette Loerch was arrested after police were called to a residence in the 300 block of 1st Southwest in the early morning hours of February 13th of last year. On arrival, officers located meth, and after obtaining a search warrant, located just under 38 grams of meth, just under 32 grams of marijuana, as well as several scales and a large amount of small, clear baggies
Loerch was originally charged with intent to deliver meth, a Class B felony, as well as intent to deliver marijuana, a Class D felony. As part of a plea agreement, Loerch pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to deliver, a Class C felony. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to recommend a suspended sentence.
District Judge Colleen Weiland recently sentenced Loerch to a ten year suspended prison sentence and placed her on five years probation.
