Rockwell man pleads not guilty to intent to deliver meth, OWI

CLEAR LAKE — An accused methamphetamine dealer arrested after an OWI stop late last month in Cerro Gordo County has pleaded not guilty.

A criminal complaint accuses 36-year-old Dustin Burkhardt of Rockwell of being stopped for numerous traffic violations shortly after midnight on September 29th near the intersection of State Highway 122 and Jonquil Avenue near the Mason City Municipal Airport.

The complaint states that during a search of the vehicle, meth was located in a backpack, a meth pipe was located in the center console, and a knife with a blade over eight inches was also found in the backpack.

Burkhardt was charged with possession with the intent to deliver meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while intoxicated.

Burkhardt filed a written plea of not guilty on Monday in Cerro Gordo County District Court. His trial is scheduled to start on November 19th.
