Crystal Lake man indicted on federal drug charges

GARNER — A Crystal Lake man charged with methamphetamine dealing has been indicted on federal charges.
41-year-old Jeremy Nedved was charged with conspiracy with intent to deliver meth, intent to deliver meth and three counts of failing to comply with the state’s sex offender registry after a traffic stop earlier this year.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office stated in a criminal complaint that they stopped a vehicle driving away from Nedved’s home on May 15th, with over three grams of meth being found in the vehicle. The person had indicated that they had purchased about 91 grams of meth from Nedved between February and the time of the stop.
Nedved’s trial was scheduled to start on Wednesday in Hancock County District Court, but Hancock County prosecutors on Friday filed a motion to dismiss the charges since Nedved had been indicted federally. District Judge Blake Norman approved the dismissal earlier today.
