Third District Cerro Gordo County supervisors candidates discuss issues tonight on NorthIowaNow.com

MASON CITY — The candidates for the Third District seat on the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors will sit down later tonight to discuss the campaign.
Democrat Lori Meacham Ginapp is being challenged by Republican Carl Ginapp to represent the district that covers all of Mason City’s First Ward; the second and third precincts of the Second Ward; the first precinct of the Fourth Ward; as well as the communities of Rock Falls and Plymouth and the Falls and Lime Creek-Mason North townships.
Meacham Ginapp was elected to a two-year term in 2022 after redistricting and says she’s ready to serve in the position for the next four years. “What does the next four years look like? I’m committed to fight for those tax dollars for the safety of our rural roads. I’m committed to the family farm. Agriculture should stay agriculture. One in five Iowans are employed in the agriculture field. I’ve continued to improve drainage districts, I was the drainage district clerk for 13 years. I also want to come together with other agencies to work with the homeless and mental health, better programs for our senior citizens and continue to support recreational activities through REAP funding.”
Carl Ginapp says he’s the better option on the ballot. “The things that I believe in. I believe in fiscally responsible and transparent government. I believe in providing necessary, high quality services, supporting agriculture and industry, and I believe in creating and enhancing recreational opportunities for the residents of the county. Thus, making Cerro Gordo County a more appealing place to raise a family and live. I have the passion, I have experience, and I have the time to make this happen.”
The program can be seen on northiownow.com starting at 7 o’clock tonight.
