Hinson campaigns in Mason City over the weekend

MASON CITY — Second District congresswoman Ashley Hinson made a campaign stop over the weekend in north-central Iowa, speaking to Republican supporters in Mason City on Saturday afternoon.

Hinson says the Biden-Harris agenda has taken the country in the wrong direction.  “I’ve pushed back against that every step of the way, against their open border policies, their policies on the global stage that have made us weak and incited hot wars in places we should never be fighting wars. You look at the border and what’s happening at our southern border. That is impacting communities like ours right here in Iowa. Every state is a border state under the failures of the Harris-Biden administration, and we know the Harris-Walz administration would be a continuation of those on steroids.”

Hinson says she’s accomplished a lot for the district.  “I’ve been able to deliver for this district in a way that I think still respects taxpayers, which I think really, really important. Here in Cerro Gordo County, water infrastructure, which is going to be critical for not only constituents here but for economic development. I’ve delivered on other priorities for infrastructure for child care, for health care in the district.”

Hinson and other Republican candidates held a rally at the Cerro Gordo County Republican headquarters in Mason City.
