Bond issues pass in GHV, West Fork school districts, fail in Hampton-Dumont

GARNER — Bond issues were approved in two school districts in our immediate listening area while one failed to get the full 60% approval needed to pass:

== Garner-Hayfield-Ventura district voters approved a $21.4 million bond issue with 67% voter approval (2254-1089). The money will be used to remodel, repair, improve, furnish and equip the existing elementary & middle school building and make improvements to the high school, including HVAC, classroom improvements, safety and security upgrades to the high school entry, reconfiguration of the kitchen and enclosure of the courtyard at the high school.

== West Fork voters approve a just under $16.9 million bond issue to make improvements to both the Rockwell elementary and Sheffield middle and high school building.

== 54% of Hampton-Dumont Community School District voters approved a $17 million bond issue, but 60% voter approval is needed for school bond issues to pass. A previous version of the bond issue was rejected by voters last year.
