Randall “Randy” Webner, 74, Mason City

Randall Herbert “Randy” Webner, 74, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Good Shepherd Health Care Center on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, Iowa, with Pastor Jane Harris officiating. Burial and Military Honors will take place in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday, November 8, 2024 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel. Casual attire is encouraged to be worn as Randy would want others to be comfortable.

Randy was born on May 19, 1950, the son of Herbert and Amy (Nelson) Webner. He attended Mason City Community School graduating in 1969. Randy enlisted in the United States Army in April of 1970, he was honorably discharged in 1971. Later he became active in the Army Reserves in July of 1976 to July of 1977, then he was a part of the National Guard from August 1986 to August 1988.

In November of 1972, Randy married Yvonne Gaarder, and from this union two daughters were born. Later on the couple divorced. In 1984 Randy began dating the love of his life, Candy Smith, they spent 40 happy years together.

His work life began at NIACC, the Globe Gazette, ABDick Printing Co., Winnebago and Niemans. His last job was working as a bus driver at MercyOne.

In his free time he enjoyed playing with his dogs, playing cards and watching Texas Ranger. Randy was an avid fan of both the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers. He also was a collector of various knives. Above everything he loved his family and always looked forward to the next family gathering.

Those left to cherish memories of Randy, are his love, Candy Smith; children, Inga Van Cleve, Erin (TJ) Rue, Kim (David) Jimenez, and Mindy (Steve) Shroeder; grandchildren, Noah, Connor, Kaylee, Emma, Lacee, Khloe, Zach, Gabby, Daniel, Olivia, Keaton, and Evie; siblings, Dennis Webner, Jack Troeger, Connie (Ron) McDonough, Becky (Brian) Blair, Shelley Boyd, Melanie (Kirk) Pedelty; aunt, Etta Lou Bier;as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Amy; sister Vicki Ann; nephew, Spencer Boyd; sister in-law, Linda Webner and Marilyn Webner; his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, several of his beloved fur babies.
