Mason City woman charged with robbery

MASON CITY — A Mason City woman is in jail after being accused of robbery.

A criminal complaint states 47-year-old Heather Glaser allegedly assaulted another woman and then stole her boots, cell phone and necklace at about 11:40 Tuesday night in the 800 block of South Federal Avenue.

The complaint states that the alleged victim threw her cell phone at Glaser as she was coming toward her to shove her, and after shoving her, Glaser took the other items, which were later found in Glaser’s truck.

Glaser has been charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony punishable by up to ten years in prison. She is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $10,000 cash-only bond.

Glaser is due in court for her preliminary hearing on November 15th.
