Veterans Day ceremony held at Central Park in Mason City
MASON CITY — Veterans Day ceremonies were held this morning throughout north-central Iowa including in Central Park in Mason City where a crowd of about 75 gathered around the veterans memorial for the city’s 103rd Veterans Day observance.
The Mason City Veterans Memorial Association’s chaplain Norris Hughes spoke from a reading entitled “To Understand a Military Veteran”.
Today marks 20 years since the Central Park monument to veterans was dedicated.
