No injuries after fire at Mason City apartment complex

MASON CITY — No one was injured after an apartment fire on Tuesday afternoon in Mason City.
The Mason City Fire Department says they were called shortly before 2 o’clock to 2711 4th Southeast where they found a fire in one apartment, which they quickly extinguished.
The tenant of the apartment reported the fire after returning from running errands. Nobody was inside the apartment at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
The fire did not extend to adjacent apartments but residents of the building were displaced for the night due to the power being shut off.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
