NIACC basketball teams have no problem with Waldorf JV

MASON CITY — The NIACC basketball teams cruised to wins last night over the Waldorf JV.
== In the women’s game, Alexis Schroeder scored a career-high 30 points while Kelsey McDonough added 21 as #11 NIACC rolled to a 118-53 win. NIACC outscored Waldorf 38-9 in the first quarter and then went on a 33-8 run in the second quarter to lead 71-17 at the half. NIACC improves to 5-1 and will return to action this weekend at home in the Iowa/Nebraska Challenge, facing Central Community College of Columbus on Friday and Southeast Community College on Saturday
== In the men’s game, NIACC led 55-29 at the half on their way to a 104-65 victory. Sophomore guard Omarion Roberts led five NIACC players in double figures with 16 points and he also added five assists and five steals. NIACC is 5-1 overall and will host Minnesota North College-Vermillion tonight.
