Girls basketball roundup for Tuesday — Clear Lake drops season opener at Ballard

HUXLEY — The Clear Lake girls basketball team dropped their season-opener at Ballard last night, 37-27, as you heard on 103.7 The Fox. Ballard jumped out to a 7-2 lead after the first quarter and were able to fight off a handful of rallies by the Lions throughout the rest of the contest. Madi Ott had 10 points off the bench to lead Clear Lake, as they drop to 0-1 on the season and will host North Union on Monday night.
