Cerro Gordo supervisors to consider wind, solar, battery storage regulations

MASON CITY — The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors this morning is scheduled to consider recommendations from the county’s Planning & Zoning Commission’s report regarding regulations for industrial wind, solar and battery storage facilities in the county.
The supervisors last year voted for a moratorium on new development that will expire at the end of this year, with a series of public comment meetings taking place earlier this year to further examine the issue.
The supervisors meet at 9 o’clock this morning in a special session prior to their regularly-scheduled weekly meeting to consider the report.
