Garner Chooses Its Next Administrator

With the departure of Garner City Administrator Jim Collins to the position of Mason City Public Works Director, Garner was left to try and find an administrator who could pick up where Collins left off. The city was getting ready for budget planning, had housing construction in full swing, and saw business and industry expansion taking off.

According to Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt, the city is going to call on a former clerk for the city who had to run the city during an administrator search.

The council along with Schmidt are confident that White is ready for the post of Garner City Administrator.

White will not only have a number of things on her plate to deal with, but she will also have prospective new issues that she must deal with.

The council is expected to approve her nomination in their next council meeting.
