Mark Albert was born September 13, 1966 in Mason City, the son of Albert Lea and Marilyn (Morse) Lansaw. He grew up in the area, graduating from Mason City High School in 1984. He soon entered the work force, eventually beginning his 28 year career at Lehigh Cement. In 1996 he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Lynn, into the world and was lucky enough to be considered “Dad” by his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Brandon and Logan.
Mark was a man who thrived in the garage, surrounded by the hum of engines and the laughter of family. Whether it was a go-kart, dirt bike, car, or his beloved Harley, he found joy in fixing things and sharing that time with loved ones. Though he called himself a “Jack of all trades, master of none,” his knack for figuring things out made him the one everyone turned to when something needed repairing—or when life called for a steady hand. Stubborn yet soft-hearted, Mark carried a deep loyalty to those he loved, always ready to drop everything to help, no matter the distance. Being a father figure was his pride, but becoming a grandpa to Silas was his greatest joy. His love was unwavering, and he never let a moment pass without reminding his family just how much they meant to him with a simple yet powerful, “I love you.”
Surviving are his daughter, Lynn (fiance Carlton Mennes) Lansaw; grandson, Silas Mennes; ‘extra children’, Lisa Campbell and her daughters, Zoey and Chloe, Brandon (Jennifer) Craig and his children, Kelsie, Connor, Conner, Catelynn and Hailie, and Logan Craig; girlfriend, Christina Seger and her son, Loki; as well as many extended family members and cherished friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Albert Lansaw and Marilyn Bolton; Lynn’s mother, Joyce (Williams) Lansaw; sister, Leanne Zieger; and infant sisters, Lisa and Lynn.
