CLEAR LAKE — Scott Flory is no longer Clear Lake’s city administrator.

According to the agreement, the city accepts Flory’s early retirement and he would stay on the city’s payroll at regular base salary until February 16th. The agreement also states that Flory would work cooperatively with the city to aid and assist them in ensuring a smooth transition to new leadership, however his duties shall immediately be transitioned to an “acting city administrator” and that he would be in an inactive employee status until the early retirement date.
Flory also agrees not to sue the city or any of its employees in manners arising out of or attributable to his employment, or separation from employment with the city, or any other action or cause of action.
Flory was not at last night’s meeting, and no one on the council made comment prior to the vote approving entering into the agreement.
The council last night also appointed the city’s Finance Director Jacob Widman as Interim City Administrator effective immediately until the process of filling the position on a full-time basis has been completed.
