MASON CITY — Prior to a midnight New Years Eve deadline, MercyOne reached a multi-year agreement with Aetna.
The new deal allows MercyOne patients and members to maintain the in-network access to MercyOne’s hospitals, facilities, and healthcare providers.
A statement from MercyOne says the company is thankful for everyone’s patience and support as they worked together with Aetna to reach what they call a fair agreement.
If the deal hadn’t been reached, MercyOne services and some providers could have been pushed out of network for patients with Aetna health insurance.
