Crystal Lake man pleads guilty to federal drug charge

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Crystal Lake man facing federal drug charges has entered into a plea agreement. 41-year-old Jeremy Nedved was originally charged in Hancock County on drug charges.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office stated in a criminal complaint that they stopped a vehicle driving away from his home on May 15th, with over three grams of meth being found in the vehicle. The person had indicated they had purchased about 91 grams of meth from Nedved between February and the time of his stop.

State charges were dropped in October after Nedved had been indicted on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute meth and possession with the intent to distribute meth. Nedved has now entered into a plea agreement, pleading guilty to the conspiracy charge.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
