High school basketball roundup from Tuesday January 7 — Clear Lake, Mason City pick up sweeps

WEBSTER CITY — The Clear Lake basketball teams picked up their first North Central Conference sweep last night in Webster City, as you heard on 103.7 The Fox.
== The Clear Lake girls held Webster City to nine first-half points on their way to a 54-31 win. Jacelyn Ainley had 14 points, Madi Ott had 11 while Taylor Schwenn added 10 as the Lions picked up their first conference win of the year as they improve to 1-3 in the conference and 2-6 overall.
== The Clear Lake boys also shut down Webster City in the first half, holding them to four second-quarter points as the #2/3A Lions beat the Lynx 64-37. Thomas Meyer had 18 points to lead Clear Lake while Jaxson McIntire added 15. Clear Lake improves to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Both Clear Lake teams host Waverly-Shell Rock in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday.
