High school boys wrestling January 14th — Clear Lake’s Dunning picks up 100th in triangular split
GARNER — Christian Dunning picked up his 100th win as Clear Lake split their portions of a boys wrestling triangular last night in Garner. The Lions’ 175 pounder picked up a pin over Austin Boege in 1:45 as Clear Lake beat Nevada 55-24. Also picking up wins by fall in that dual were Aiden Hippen at 157, Jack Hackman at 190, Brock Thompson at 215, Aaron Richtsmeier at 285, and John Amos at 106. In the other dual, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura used five pins, three forfeit wins and a technical fall to beat the Lions 53-30. Clear Lake will host Hampton-Dumont-CAL and Algona in a North Central Conference triangular that you’ll see on northiowanow.com starting at about 7 o’clock on Thursday night. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura beat Nevada 48-36 in the other dual.
