Iowa DNR to host hunting, trapping rules meetings in Ventura, Charles City, Algona

VENTURA — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a series of townhall-style meetings next month where local staff will provide updates on recently completed hunting and trapping seasons, discuss possible changes to hunting and trapping rules and regulations, and address other topics as requested.

Iowa DNR Wildlife Bureau chief Todd Bishop says they want people to come out to the meetings and hear directly from staff and ask questions. He says part of the meeting will be devoted to discussing potential rule changes and collecting feedback as they work through the rules process. Comments collected from the meetings will be considered along with other related comments received by the DNR prior to proposing changes to hunting rules and regulations.
