CLEAR LAKE — Clear Lake dropped a pair of North Central Conference boys wrestling duals last night at home, as you saw on northiowanow.com. Jon Amos at 106 and Christian Dunning at 175 picked up wins in both duals, but the Lions fell to #2/2A Algona 61-16 and Hampton-Dumont-CAL 50-26. The Lions will travel to the Osage Duals on Saturday. In the other dual, Algona beat Hampton-Dumont-CAL 51-19.
WATERLOO — Waterloo East won 11 of the 14 matches to down Mason City 63-16 in an Iowa Alliance Conference Northern Division boys dual. Carter Rockwell at 165 and DeForrest Snow at 126 picked up pins for the Riverhawks while Joseph Hauser at 215 had Mason City’s other win. Mason City travels to the Bob Sharp Invitational in Ankeny on Saturday.
