Clear Lake council tonight to consider development agreement for new bowling alley

CLEAR LAKE — The Clear Lake City Council tonight will consider a development agreement with the developers of a new bowling alley in the Surf District.
Lake Pin and Play at 514 Buddy Holly Place will feature six lanes of bowling, all-sports simulators, as well as an arcade and a full service bar and grill.
Mayor Nelson Crabb says it’s a good fit for the Surf District area. “For years I’ve talked about that truly is our entertainment district all around, and not just because of the Surf, but prior to that there were other areas such as the older bowling alley, so this does fit in very, very well with what’s going on with our Surf District area as well.”
The development agreement includes a $250,000 tax rebate over seven years, a forgivable loan of $350,000, and a signage grant up to $10,000.
The Clear Lake City Council meets tonight at 5:30 at City Hall.
