CLEAR LAKE — Authorities on Friday night responded to the report of a vehicle that had gone through the ice on Clear Lake with a driver inside.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says they were called shortly before 10 o’clock to the area of 14850 Cedar Avenue, where on arrival deputies found the driver had rescued himself from the vehicle.
68-year-old Daniel Kloser of Garner was evaluated at the scene but there were no apparent injuries. After an investigation of the incident, Kloser was arrested for operating while intoxicated first offense and was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
