Mason City man charged with sexual abuse

MASON CITY — A homeless Mason City man is in jail on a sexual abuse charge.

A criminal complaint states that 37-year-old Darryl Green went into a room at a home in the 400 block of 1st Street Northwest in the early morning hours of January 7th and performed a sexual act against the will of a female resident.

Green was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail on Tuesday afternoon, charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony punishable by up to ten years in prison.

Green is being held without bond at last check pending his appearance in front of a magistrate judge.
