CLEAR LAKE — The annual Winter Dance Party celebration at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake officially gets underway tonight and continues through the weekend. A “Winter Dance Party” warm-up show was performed last night with Austin Allsup and Richie Lee & The Fabulous 50s.
== Coming up tonight will be John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party, the official live re-creation of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the “Big Bopper” J.P. Richardson’s final tour, and the only show endorsed by the Holly, Valens and Richardson estates.
== Friday night’s lineup includes: Shake Baby Shake & The Lovettes; Big Sandy & His Flyrite Boys; and the Holy Rocka Rollaz
== Saturday night is headlined by legendary artist Chubby Checker, who performed at the Surf in 2019. Also on Saturday night’s lineup are: The Duprees; Albert Lee; Jeremy Clyde; The Midnight Cowgirls; and Slim Jim Phantom.
