Thursday Jan 30 boys wrestling roundup — Lake Mills overwhelms Clear Lake, MCHS falls at Fort Dodge

LAKE MILLS — Lake Mills won all but one match as they downed Clear Lake 78-6 in a boys wrestling dual last night in Lake Mills, as you saw on northiowanow.com. The Bulldogs had eight pins in the dual. John Amos picked up the only win for the Lions at 106 pounds last night with a pin. Clear Lake is off until February 8th when they travel to AGWSR for a round robin tournament. Lake Mills will host regional duals on Tuesday night and face either Nashua-Plainfield or West Lyon in the regional final.

FORT DODGE — Mason City won two matches as they fell to Fort Dodge 67-9 in an Iowa Alliance Conference dual last night in Fort Dodge. Eli McCleish picked up a pin at 138 pounds while 120-pounder Isaac McCleish picked up a decision. Mason City travels to the Iowa Alliance Conference Invitational at Des Moines East tomorrow.
