CLEAR LAKE — Clear Lake won their 34th-straight North Central Conference regular season contest as the #1 team in Class 3A blew out Webster City 75-33 last night in boys basketball, as you heard on 103.7 The Fox and saw on northiowanow.com. Clear Lake coach Jeremey Ainley says it was another game where his team came out with the right mindset.
Thomas Meyer had 15, Sam Howland 11 and Brian McIntire had 10 to lead Clear Lake, as the Lions improve to 16-0 overall and 10-0 in the conference. They’ll travel to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Thursday for a non-conference contest.
WATERLOO — The Mason City High boys beat Waterloo East on the road last night 66-54. Marcele Whitner had 24 points while Ty Sanchez-Evans added 14 to lead the Riverhawks, who improve to 8-8 overall and 4-4 in the Iowa Alliance Conference North standings. Mason City will host Des Moines Lincoln on Friday.
