Two Clear Lake seniors sign National Letters of Intent to play college football

CLEAR LAKE — Two Clear Lake High School football players on Wednesday signed National Letters of Intent to continue their football careers as Henry Bunn signed with The University of Northern Iowa while Landyn Lewerke signed with South Dakota State.

Bunn is a 6-foot-4, 265 pound offensive lineman who was a two-time first-team all-district player and was named second-team all-state this past season. Bunn says he’s looking forward to working with new head coach Todd Stepsis.

Lewerke is a 6-foot-3, 270 pound offensive lineman who earned all-district honors this past season. Lewerke says it was a no-brainer to choose South Dakota State when they made an offer.

South Dakota State made it to the semifinals of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs this past season and they also have a new head coach as Dan Jackson took over after Jimmy Rogers left to take the head coaching position at Washington State.
