Osage 5th at boys state duals

CORALVILLE — Osage finished fifth in the Class 1A state duals on Saturday. The Green Devils fell in their opening match to Jesup 36-27. They then beat Woodbury Central 53-30 in the consolation semifinals before picking up a 35-33 win over conference rival Nashua-Plainfield in the fifth place match. Don Bosco won the Class 1A title with a 38-37 win over Alburnett. 

 

== In Class 2A, North Central Conference member Algona won the title. After wins over Mount Vernon 52-17 and Williamsburg 32-27, the Bulldogs beat West Delaware 28-25 in the championship match. Fellow North Central Conference member Clarion-Goldfield-Dows finished third as the Cowboys won their quarterfinal match 35-32 over Sergeant Bluff-Luton, fell in the semifinals to West Delaware 38-31, and then beat Williamsburg 42-31 in the third place match

 

== In Class 3A,Southeast Polk won the title with a 54-14 win over Indianola in the championship match.
