Snow ends later tonight, but then cold moves in

MASON CITY — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for most of north-central Iowa until later this evening. Two to five inches of snow is expected with this weather system.

A Cold Weather Advisory goes into effect overnight tonight until mid-morning tomorrow for our entire listening area. Very cold wind chills between 20 and 25 below zero are expected. The dangerously cold wind chill could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

If you are going to be outdoors, use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
