Osage’s Fox three-time state champion, Nashua-Plainfield’s Rinken wins state title
DES MOINES — Blake Fox of Osage is a three-time state champion. The Green Devils junior beat Lake Mills junior Steve Brandenburg by technical fall, 21-6 in 4:50 to claim the Class 1A 144-pound title on Saturday night. Fox finished the season with a perfect 59-0 record.
== Jayden Rinken of Nashua-Plainfield won the Class 1A 132 pound title with a 10-0 decision over Drew Anderson of Riverside of Oakland
== Three other area wrestlers fell in their bids for state titles on Saturday night. Christian Dunning of Clear Lake fell 7-2 to Zayvion Ellington of Sergeant Bluff-Luton for the Class 2A 175 pound title. In the Class 1A 175 pound title match, Kanen Decker of Wapsie Valley beat Creighton Kelly of West Hancock 7-2. In the Class 1A 285 pound match, Wyatt Hanna of Lake Mills lost to Trenton Warner of Nodaway Valley 13-5.
