WATERLOO — At the boys state bowling tournament, Mason City state qualifier Michael Sonberg failed to qualify for the final round.
In pre-bracket play, Sonberg had a three-game series of 693, falling 15 pins shy of the top eight qualifiers and ending in 11th place.
Sonberg is a junior who had games of 191, 235, and 267.
