Work scheduled for next week on Interstate 35 bridges near Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE — Road construction season is slated to get underway next week in north-central Iowa.
Pete Hjelmstad of the Iowa Department of Transportation says they’ll be doing some work on Interstate 35 in Clear Lake starting next Wednesday. “We’re going to do the bridge over 4th Street, which is old Highway 106, and the bridge over Main Avenue. We will have outside lane closures on the interstate, and we will be closing the off-ramp for southbound traffic to 4th and the on-ramp for northbound traffic to 4th while that is done. That should hopefully be done by Memorial Day.”
You can keep track of road construction projects through the Iowa DOT’s 511ia.org website.
