Clear Lake man arrested on meth dealing charge

GARNER — A rural Clear Lake man was arrested on Friday on a drug charge out of Hancock County.
26-year-old Trevor Myers has been charged with a Class B felony-level controlled substance violation. A criminal complaint states that a Hancock County deputy spoke with four separate citizens in the past year who stated Myers distributed methamphetamine in Hancock County. One person in December told authorities that Myers would acquire meth daily for distribution starting in 2019.
An investigation allegedly identified messages where Myers was actively distributing more than five grams of meth and receiving cash for the distribution of the drug. The complaint states that Myers was stopped by law enforcement on May 22nd with meth being discovered.
A warrant was served on Myers on Friday by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
If convicted, Myers would face up to 25 years in prison.
